OUR PHYSIO
Sue Mavin

BAppSc (Physiotherapy)

Sue graduated from Sydney University in 1990 and headed to Newcastle, NSW, as a new grad working in the public health system for a couple of years before heading to the UK to work and travel for two years.

On return from overseas, she worked for the internationally renowned Sarah Key. Absorbing and learning all about backs and necks, she developed a career-long passion for hands-on physiotherapy. After 16 years, Sue decided she needed a change so went and worked at the SAN hospital in Wahroonga, working in outpatients, hydrotherapy and acute care wards. Sue loved the multi-disciplinary team approach and was an invaluable part of the holistic care in the hospital.

After 7 years at the SAN, Sue decided to expand her skills into the aged care and rehabilitation fields at Mt Wilga Rehabilitation Hospital and a community-based mobile aged care physio for The Physio Co. She absolutely loves working with senior clients and has pursued a deep expertise in falls prevention and balance.

Sue went to uni with our own Melissa Partington and has known Anna-Louise since the early days of Physiocise at the Castlecrag Church Hall. It feels like Sue’s whole professional journey has been leading her to be part of the Physiocise Brains Trust, and we are so excited to have her as part of this amazing team.

Sue has three grown children, Lachlan, Harrison and Courtney and two dogs, Oscar and Baxter.

She loves getting out into nature, bushwalking,  walking the dogs or outside gardening, and her goal this year is to walk the last 120km of the Camino Way in Spain!
