OUR PHYSIO
Amy Kennedy

BAppSc (Physiotherapy) GradCert (Physiotherapy), Cert. IV - Assessment and Workplace Training, APAM

Amy has 20+ years experience as a Physiotherapist and consults in the area of Spinal and Sports physiotherapy and Women’s Health. She also has expertise in Aquatic Physiotherapy, management of chronic and complex patients, Pilates and Dry Needling. Willoughby locals may recognise her from the Physio Evolution practice, which has closed its doors this year.

Over the years, Amy has worked in both the hospital and private sectors in various roles in Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney.

With an ongoing thirst for new and up-to-date knowledge, Amy has undertaken further study in the area of Women’s Health and Aquatic Physiotherapy, Dry Needling and Pilates and regularly attends workshops and conferences. Amy is a member of The Australian Physiotherapy Association, The Continence and Women’s Health interest group, and Aquatic Physiotherapy and Dry Needling interest groups.

Amy takes a holistic approach to patient management in order to relieve pain and restore function, strength and stability, so she is a perfect fit for the Physiocise philosophy. She believes education is key for patients to understand how their condition interacts with their world and is really looking forward to being part of the amazing framework Physiocise has built over very many years.

Amy has four almost grown-up children who excel in everything from musical theatre to water polo and netball and understands managing these things from a parental, a professional and even a personal point of view as a water polo player herself. Sounds exhausting, but the super-organised Amy seems to make it all work!

Amy is available for consultations at our Willoughby studio.
