How Do I Start Physiocise?
Our Initial Assessment
How many times have you been to a physio or doctor and wished they would look at the whole you, not just the bit that hurts now?
Our Physiocise Initial Assessment takes the time to do just that. Finding the solution to long term injuries is like solving a complex puzzle. The first step is identifying what the pieces are- including the issues effecting every component of your core. This comprehensive assessment helps us to understand all the elements that brought you to this point.
Depending on past events, it usually takes a couple of appointments to gather all your medical history, do a comprehensive physical assessment, and then work with you to develop a plan for a long term strategy not just a short term fix.
Classes or one on ones?
We have options for everyone. Once you have had your Initial Assessment we will work with you to find the best option.
The Physiocise programs
Every BODY is different. Our Foundations Course gives you the basics to build a stronger, more stable you. After that is important to customise your exercise according to how FLOPPY or STIFF you are! We are experts in developing the right exercises for your body type.
Booking and paying
Physiocise Courses are scheduled in line with NSW Public School terms. There are 4 terms per year of approximately 10 weeks each. If you want to ensure you get the days and times that suit you best, you need to book early (a few weeks before the start of the term is best) to ensure your place. This is especially important if the course runs at a popular time such as before or after business hours.
You pay for the full course because we offer Physiocise as a package… a set number of classes, of limited size, with the same physiotherapist; following a program that develops from week to week. We do not refund or credit missed classes.
Payments are made in advance for the term by cash, cheque, credit card or your own online internet banking.
What do I do if I miss a class?
If you miss a class you can book in for a ‘Make-Up Class’, up to a maximum of two per term. Make-up classes are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and cannot be carried over to the following term. Unfortunately, we are not able to give credits or refunds for missed or unused classes.
Do health funds rebate?
In the past year there have been extensive changes to the Health Fund rebate system which have affected extras cover such as ‘Group Physiotherapy’. We recommend you talk to your fund about your ‘physiotherapy extras’ cover. You will not be able to claim from your health fund until the end of the term because they will not rebate in advance.
Physiocise does not accept Worker's Compensation or Third Party Insurance claims, but will happily treat these clients in a private capacity.
