Kay graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in Engalnd in 1984 and emigrated to Australia completing the prestigious Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy and a Masters in Applied Science at the University of Sydney.
She worked as a senior therapist at the Leeds General Infirmary and St Mary’s Hospital, London. In Australia she worked at the prestigious Edgecliff Physiotherapy Centre where Anna-Louise was a partnerHer extensive work focusing chronic neck and low back pain gave her the confidence to take on the role of owning her own practice. As the principal of the well known Active Physiotherapy in Newton she led an excellent team of therapists for 8 years before taking a career break to raise her 3 children.
She was coaxed out of her professional hiatus in 2010 by Anna-Louise who knew that her wealth of experience and excellent communication skills were a perfect combination for being a part of the Physiocise team.
Her passion is working with bad backs and dodgy knees and her enthusiasm, empathy and passion are matched by her skill, experience and professionalism.
Kay has been the driving force behind the incredibly popular Physiocise strong bones classes. Her huge knowledge on the subject has seen her
speak to crowds at Probus clubs as well as develop classes that use specific exercises to build bone and helping clients remain fit, strong
and agile, reducing the risk of falls. She goes to all lengths (even trawling the supermarket aisles for calcium-rich foods!) to give her clients the best chance of improving their bone health and having fun at the same time
She has three children Grace, Ben and Phoebe.
