Since graduating from Sydney University in 2000 Jemma has worked in both the private and public sectors in Australia and internationally. Her work in private practice in London was particularly focused on treating back and neck pain. On returning to Australia a position at The Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney started a career passion for dealing with women's health particularly in the areas of pre and post natal care.
Years of classical ballet gave her close personal and professional experience with chronic injuries and this lead her to a career which focused on education and prevention, and proactive rather than reactive treatment models.
Since commencing with Physiocise in 2011 she has been delighted to have a platform where education is a key focus and loves empowering clients to help themselves. Jemma is using her years of experience in teaching children ballet to help develop the Teen program for Physiocise.
Jemma’s passion is exercise for the pre and post baby body. She has developed the new “Mum's Burn” core recharge program, enabling women to live well in their post baby bodies and to achieve the exercise goals they want to accomplish.
In 2017, Jemma worked at Macquarie University as a clinical specialist teaching behavioural change in the post graduate physiotherapy program. This saw Jemma teaching young minds how to enable patients to stay motivated and make positive changes for the long term. Something she does here regularly with her Physiocise clients.
She is the mother of three boys - Harrison, Lachlan and Finn.
